Then, when I returned the car, I knew I needed to pay a toll. When I looked it up on the state's tollway website no violations were noted. That is because Thrifty has a corporate account with them which means you cannot rely on the state's website to see toll violations. In fact, there is no easy way to figure out which tolls need to be paid. THE BEST WAY IS TO CALL THRIFTY IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIP TO FIND OUT WHAT THEY HAVE IN THEIR SYSTEM. Then they sent me a bill for 2 tolls - one of which was payed. For a 2.25 toll, thrifty charged $32 in administration fees.
Wish I could give them a -star! I’ll never rent from them again!
Rental price was a good deal and happy with the car, however encountered two major issues. The guy at the counter up-charged me for Loss Damage Waiver. It just so happened to be almost exactly the price of the rental. The room was loud and I assumed I was paying with the card for the rental. Turns out my credit card was automatically charged for the rental and this was added on top. Paid $27 for something that is FULLY COVERED BY MY CREDIT CARD.
BE EXTRA VIGILANT WHEN RENTING FROM THEM.
Probably one of the worst and strangest experiences I have had recently. It was like a twilight zone. The three staff members behind the counter seemed annoyed that they had to do their jobs. One lady who acted like a supervisor was yelling at a customer trying to get popcorn. The lady that helped me was monotone and clearly uninterested in her job. Never explained the collision insurance, never walked us outside to wait for the car. It was just strange and none of them seemed to care about their jobs or the customers. I don't know if they are just underpaid therefore feel justified in giving bad customer service or if they haven't been trained properly. Either way someone at Thrifty needs to visit this location and make some changes. If it hadn't been so late at night I would have walked to a different car rental company.
2. TOLL TAG CHARGES

Took longer then any other car rental to get shuttle to rental desk. The staff weren't overly friendly at the desk. I had booked a 'mid' sized car and paid for ahead of time for 30 days and got given a Toyota Corolla! Would have thought maybe a Camry would have been mid size and Corolla an economy or compact car. The staff was insistant that it was mid size! Then asked for basic directions to get to a common road and she was not helpful!
This was the absolute worst experience one could imagine while renting a vehicle. After waiting for one of the two shuttle busses owned by Thrifty in the 20° weather we arrived to a 2 hour wait at the office because all 4 of their kiosks were "out of service". Squished in a small building like sardines we waited for one of the 4 workers to yell at us into line. This vehicle rental is not worth any amount of money saved. Would highly suggest you use a different option when choosing a vehicle rental.
