I came to pick the car on Nov 7 st 10:30 pm from O’Hare. There was a decent queue and there were just 2 people serving customers on the counter.

I was asked to pick from zone 1 and with luggage and my kid and wife, we went to the open lot zone 1 with weather freezing cold about 17-30deg FH. There was no car in zone1.

I went back and forth 3 times to the building and lot but none of the designated spots mentioned by them had cars. Finally agreed upon a spot, picked the car and when clock read 11:45pm on that freezing night.

Excellent Customer Service. Jade was wonderful n went out of her way for us. More Customer Service People in any business should b more like her. Thank you Jade

When I picked up the car it smelled like smoke. I returned it and received a $300 cleaning fee because it smelled like smoke. I'm not even a smoker. I was never emailed a receipt and when I looked up the receipt online there were no details for the $300 charge. The first customer service representative I spoke to told me that it would take 7-14 to reverse the charge. What?!?! So I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. They told me since the charge is pending they can't do anything, but if Hertz sends them a fax with their letter head, my name, the last for digits of my card and a message saying to remove the charge, they could cancel it today. I contacted Hertz again and the representative I spoke to said there was nothing she could do. I said, (with frustration, but not yelling) "No, this is Hertz's fault, 7-14 days to reverse a charge that was your mistake is..." She interrupted me, "There is no reason to raise your voice at me there is nothing we can do." She interrupted me with a similar comment several times before I asked to speak to someone else. The final representative I spoke to said that whoever told me 7-14 days was wrong and the charge would be reversed today. On top of the fact that they made a mistake, I was given incorrect information, then had to deal with an exceptionally rude representative. I don't intend to rent from Hertz again.

What great customer service and great arrangements. There was no apologetic tone from anyone there for the first 1 hour. Just one person says namesake sorry before I left and I was tired to respond.

Got the contract done in 20 minutes. Here’s where the harrowing fun started.

Shuttle bus driver was friendly and memorable as being really nice compared to the punk at the front desk.

Ultimate Choice at this location is really a choice. As a President circle, no matter at what time I arrive, I always find a nice car to drive: Cadillac, Chrysler 300, Infiniti... not only the usual Altima or Hyundai as in most of other Hertz location.. as a President circle costumer you feel very appreciated

I got in late at night for a funeral. The guy at the front desk spent 20 minutes trying to pressure me into getting insurance, interrogating me on how good my insurance was and berating me for turning theirs down.

May be my last encounter with Hertz
