Sebastian Feltz you should be ashamed in how this process is being handled since you are the reason as to why it has been mishandled for weeks and now all these "additional requirements"

I came in and out in 30 minutes and a very happy person.

All in all, smooth experience!

One of the most disorganized consulates I've ever seen. They don't tell you when the documents are ready, to pick up my passport I had to wait in line for 1 hour! Even though it was supposed to be "expedited"... Super limited working and contact hours, too.

Smooth experience. The staff is super friendly. I have been to this consulate twice for a national visa. If you take all required documents, any visa will go smooth. Small mistakes in the application were corrected by the officer. The officer was very methodical and careful in checking the application. My wife and I were allowed to do our interviews at the same time so that was helpful as well.

Vielen Danke Deutschland

I had an amazing experience! Friendly and lovely people working there! Amazing representative of Germany!

I came in with a very complex case. German grandfather, I was born in South America, living in the US.

I would just like to say my passport process has been EXTREMELY unprofessional and unorganized. I visited the consulate in person 8/21/17 with my mother who was in the country visiting from Germany, it was my first time applying for a German passport and at the end we were informed all that was needed was proof of address as it was not on my Drivers license or US passport. I emailed the very next day 8/22/17 my proof of address. 7+ weeks later, still no passport or anything. My mom has to forward the original email to the consulate again 10/3/17 and it was said they didn't "see" the email. NOW, I am being required to send in my moms birth certificate and marriage certificate....mind you she worked at that location for years and they already had those documents but now couldn't "find" them. Still curious why they were needed as I am 28 and both my German birth certificate and my US born abroad certificate were submitted. The excuse is because its my first time applying however why is NONE of this information listed on the website then? If the customer representative working with us knew it was the first time applying, then furthermore why weren't those documents mentioned for us to send in as well? Also funny how none of my questions were answered in the email. Rude, unorganized and unprofessional. Would never recommend this facility.
