First of all, good luck trying to get a hold of them. The only way they can respond to you is via email.
Horrível como trabalham e um site difícil de achar as informaçoes. Dai vc manda email e eles respondem secamente e as vezes, nem faz sentido com o que vc perguntou. Sinto ate vergonha do atendimento!
Not to mention the rude people that work there. Acting like they are better than every other Brazilian. That place is ridiculous and should be reported to the Brasilia General Embassy
They really don't help anyone. Their instructions by email are vague, you cannot contact them by phone and they really don't care if you don't live in Chicago. It's very frustrating to deal with this consulate.
Secondly when it comes to anything regarding your electoral card, you have to be there in person and it doesnt matter if you live in a state that is far from IL, you still need to go there to know basic information, because whenever you ask a question through email they say: "you have to be here in person." So, plan at least a couple trips to this consulate to get anything started!
They just don't care about anyone, not even the Brazilians
The lack of respect and unwillingness to try to help a Brazilian at the place is astonishing!
Change the system and those lazy unprofessional people you have working at the place.
