What can I say. I was in the market for a new bike to replace my older Tarmac, and Manuel and his team were brilliant. Every person knew everything about what I wanted to get inside and out, and helped me out in a very down to earth, kind way. In a lot of bike shops, there's a somewhat pretentious attitude, but not here. I'm very happy to have made my purchase here and look forward to years of coming back for other cycling needs!
I tried three bicycles and they were all uncomfortable and had much hunched over the entire time. Some people may like that style, but I personally did not and it was frustrating to get the size I wanted (large) because for some reason or another, they had very little inventory for me to test ride it.
Honest, hardworking, helpful & caring people! What more could you ask for?
I was due for a new bike and had a good idea of what I wanted when I walked in...did a bunch of research. Then I spoke to Miguel and three test rides later, and I walked out with a totally different bike of a totally different style than I thought I wanted. He did a great job walking me through different styles and components and I didn't feel pressured in any way. I ultimately wound up paying more for the bike than I was budgeted, but I am definitely happy with my investment and glad I took some extra time for Miguel's input. It's a smaller neighborhood shop, so no, they're not going to have an enormous selection; however, I visited several other large bike shops in the city and always have the best experience at Johnny Sprockets. It's the third bike we purchased from them over the past 10 years and always a great experience.
If you are rich, this is the place to go, but for the rest of us the bikes are overpriced. It took a while for the staff to attend me and they only offer the newest. I thought the bikes look nice and are lightweight, but the range and style of their merchandise is limited.
Passing through Chicago on a tour. Gave my bike and I attention and first class treatment we did not deserve. Great guys, hard working mechanics, and the kind of attitude you find in only the best bike shops.
Thank you Kyle for all of your help! I can't wait for my new baby to come in!!!
