I grew up going to this place and it enriched my life greatly. Thank you Facets. Great movies you can't see elsewhere and an amazing collection of foreign dvds. A nice, comfortable place with a wonderful staff. A Chicago landmark!

This humble film non-profit boasts a cinema, video rental store, and distribution label. Not to mention they run one of the largest international children's film festivals in the country. A haven for film lovers of all kinds I can't recommend Facets enough!
I like Facets, a great selection of of rare and OOP films. You can rent VHS and PAL even. I liked it enough that when I moved from Chicago I kept my membership so I can have films shipped to me downstate. Customer service leaves something to be desired, though. If I call up with questions or to check for a film I always get the feeling that the staff would rather not be dealing with me.
