I can’t say enough good things about Stephanie and the Schroth Method. If you have scoliosis related back pain or are just looking for a great physical therapist, you should definitely check this place out.

I am now six weeks past my spinal fusion, and I credit a lot of my rehab success to Stephanie's work to get me into the best possible condition prior to surgery. I'm so fortunate to have found her and so grateful for what she was able to do for me.

Before I went to Physio Partners, I did some research on the Schroth Method. I found that Stephanie Penny at Physio Partners is one of the few Schroth Method providers in Chicago. Since I’d never heard of this method and it’s not widely practiced, I had little hope, but decided to give it a try. Stephanie and the Schroth Method have changed my life. I have no idea why the Schroth Method is not more popular here in the U.S. or why a doctor has never recommended it for me. Stephanie is amazing. She actually cares about her patients and works to solve your specific issues and tailor your therapy to you. My back is in a much better place and I understand what to do when I do have flare ups.

Not enough people seem to have heard of the Schroth method and so many people could benefit from it.

Have had incredible customer service at PhysioPartners. Really helpful PT and massage work. They helped me stay healthy and get stronger for my first half marathon, and I ran it faster than I ever thought I could! They were attentive and responsive, and I really felt like my program of in-session work and at-home exercises were tailored exactly to my needs and abilities. (They made sure to make my exercises harder as I got better.) I dealt with ankle instability, ITB and some PF while under their care. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Anyway, I just wanted you to know what a professional and amazing job Stephanie and Physio Partners did for me.

I am so pleased my doctor referred me to PhysioPartners for physical therapy on my problematic achilles tendon. When she explained that the physical therapists work with only one patient at a time, I knew that was the best possible situation for my condition. Having been in therapy before for this condition and understanding this time how badly I had damaged my achilles tendon, I knew I had to work harder to rehabilitate it and then to prevent it from happening again. My therapist, Joe Ascher, gave me 100% of his attention and expertise, answering all of my questions and explaining as he worked with me what he was doing, the purpose of each exercise, and how all of it would help me heal and prevent injury in the future. I also learned more about the need to better balance my exercise routine so that I take care of the entire body and focus on weak spots. With Joe's observations and feedback, I will soon be signing up for some training classes to round out my fitness routine! Follow-up visits just to check in can be scheduled, too. Thanks to Joe, Katie and all of the staff at PhysioPartners for such efficient, helpful service--the office administration and scheduling service, too!

When I came to Physio Partners, I was instantly impressed with Stephanie's understanding of scoliosis and the detail with which she analyzed my particular spine with its challenging curves. The work we did together made a huge difference in my comfort level while waiting to complete the surgery. It also resulted in a remarkable change in my alignment. The contrast between the x-rays before physical therapy and after physical therapy is quite amazing.

Her caring attitude and constant creativity at finding new ways to lengthen my torso/spine, completely fix the pain from my lower rib knocking into my hip bone, straighten out my posture, and make me stronger were fantastic. She also was so supportive at a difficult time in my life.

I had a small thoracic curve and a significant lumbar curve, as well as kyphosis in my thoracic spine. I had tried many forms of physical therapy and other modalities and none of them really made much of a difference.

I went to Physio Partners because I had tried everything else for my scoliosis and arthritis without much success and wanted to try Schroth PT. I worked with Stephanie Penny on my back in anticipation of spinal fusion surgery, which I just completed, and I wanted to tell you about my experience.

I came to Physio Partners because a massage therapist had suggested that the Schroth Method might be helpful for my ongoing back issues related to scoliosis. I’ve had back pain most of my life related to scoliosis and have seen several doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists, but nothing has helped.

Most of all, I appreciate the dedication of my therapists and the privacy the location allows- especially if you prefer private individualized care. They are laid back and will allow, if not encourage you do continue your own exercises/program in the open gym space after treatment which is quite helpful for me.

I've been treated at PhysioPartners on and off for the past few years for a couple different injuries. The new Lakeview facility is very nice, I have not been to their downtown location. It is generally easy to find street parking at Lakeview. The therapists I have been treated by are all outstanding and go above and beyond to help get you well. They sell pt and ot props that are very helpful and are great with working with you if you have issues with insurance and have to pay out of pocket, but the quality of therapy is worth every penny.
