Good sea food, enjoyed the calamari. Also really liked the spaghetti mussels, had a creamy spice to it. The server was very nice, recomended a good wine. Good location with great view of Lake Michigan and the city.
I went here for lunch. I had oysters and a burger, rare. Yes, I do like raw foods. lol. The burger was cooked rare, as asked, and the oysters were not overly priced for the location. They had two locales to pick from, limited but both were good. Good views off the pier looking out into the city over the water.
Great views, pleasant staff, decent prices. This is surely a premium location and a place to take a date to impress. I would give 5 stars for all of that but I unfortunately didn't find my meal as impressive as the environment. There must be better options on the menu but I personally do not recommend a pike. It was rather blend and lacked flavor, so did the veggies. My wife's salad was good and had a flavor so can't complain but still not 5 star worthy. Sadly, the pike killed it for me.
Compiling the entire effect of the excellent food, charming service, and beautiful view, Riva was an amazing experience. It is a quiet restaurant perfect for a calm evening out. The seafood(I had lobster) is fresh and well cooked. While I cannot personally speak for the potstickers, my friend ordered them and was pleasantly surprised by both the generous portion sizes and amazing flavor. Our server was accommodating and incredibly gracious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I would still recommend giving this place a chance but stay away from the pike.
Great location and high end atmosphere. I went here for my anniversary, however, for the price, I was not sold on the quality or quantity of food. The feel was decent, but my taste buds were not sold.
