The food was OK it wasn’t original Louisiana food. This restaurant gets two stars because clearly the cashier is a racist lady. When I was waiting to get cashed out she saw me BUT continued to have side conversations with a man. She didn’t even say hello or anything and then on top of that when I gave her my money, in her hand she proceeded to put my change on the counter and smirked. Never coming back again!
If you are looking for hearty dishes made with love – this is your spot! Their Po’boys cannot be beat! I really loved their jalapeno cheddar corn muffin, fried green tomatoes and a few others! The staff here is top notch! They are some of the nicest people I have ever met! At the same time – when stepping into this restaurant you feel as if you are transported out of Chicago and into a Louisiana diner! Also portions are pretty big so make sure you bring some friends with to share! I cannot wait to come back and check out their full menu! Lastly don’t forget to check out their drinks (get the hurricane)! Btw if you don’t try one of their hot sauces... you need to go back!
