Was super excited when i saw this place had reopened... I walked in & was immediately saddened @ what had become of my favorite childhood bakery... No slices of pizza, no apple/cheese pastries, & what they do have looks like overpriced treats for hippsters... the old lady who owned this place is turning over in her grave... Another neighborhood institution falls victim to gentrification...
This place is absolutely excellent. Get here early for the freshest bread and/or pastries. Seriously.
If you don't live in Point Reyes but you're a cyclist, you are familiar with Scafuri Bakery. It's one of the common stops you make.Too bad my jersey pockets wasn't big enough for a bag of more pastries. I totally would have taken those delicious baked goodies home with me.
But luckily enough I got to try the kalamata olive with feta cheese scone. I'm a fan of olives and savory scones - perfect combination. This thing was huge, at $3, it's cheap. This place is great! I'll make sure to do a longer stop here next time.
Traditional Italian bakery. Someone recommended their lemon pound cake to me.
An excellent italian bakery and coffee shop. Lots of interesting items that are not easy to find
