best thing to use if you are visiting for the first time . City pass allows you to skip long queues during long weekends and holidays.
Even the people in the museums acknowledged that a lot of customers have issues and they are known for lackluster customer support.
Great deal, AMAZING CITY. HIGHLY recommended! Didn and #39;t love the Adler Planetarium, the shows made me dizzy, but it probably just isn and #39;t for everyone. You can see the city line from the back of the planetarium anyways, which was my ultimate goal for photos. I wish I had chosen the Art Institute.
My family of 4 and I visited Chicago for 3 days during spring break (Evening, 2 days, Morning). In this short time (with 2 kids in tow) we saw everything we wanted to see...Willis Tower at sunset, Field Museum, Art Museum (which is open late on Thursday nights), Science and Industry, and The Shedd. We knew to look for the correct entrances so that we could take advantage of the "fast lane" City Pass provides. We never waited in line more than 1-5 minutes (even on Saturday morning at The Shedd). Also look into parking with Panda Parking. It can save a lot of money if you use it correctly.
City pass is a rip off. Do not waste your money or your time. We purchased one before we went to Chicago and ended up waiting in line with everyone else who was buying tickets in order to redeem the voucher. They told us we had to wait two hours at the skydeck just to get our fast pass. Ay Chicago 360 same thing happened. When we asked what is the advantage of the city pass we were told, gee I dont know. It is a rip off. Dont do it.
I highly recommend the City Pass to anyone who wants to see the sights in Chicago. We loved our experience and felt like Rock Stars as we entered the exhibits ahead of some lengthy lines!
Sounds really convenient and like a deal ,but it is not. Awful customer service - if you have an issue they are not based in Chicago so you need to physically mail the book in for a refund. I am still waiting for a call back from the manager from a week ago. Bottom line, don't purchase this.
