I recently decided to try painting a wall in my apartment and spent quite a bit of time in the paint department. Even when I tried the splash of color on my wall and thought it was too bright, Matt and Matt took extraordinary measures to help me get the shade I wanted. I had a delightful time talking through the color experiments that I would have tried without their expertise. I'm so glad I came in and hope that anyone looking for helpful and fun assistance on their next project chooses this Ace Hardware.
Unpleasant experience, every single time. They are grossly understaffed and poorly managed. I always say I'm going to walk further to get Benjamin Moore paint. Some of the staff have really poor attitudes, but I kinda don't blame them. It should never take,30 minutes to get a quart of paint. This place is just unpleasant, sometimes rude, always slow, and and generally puts a dark spot on my usually carefree days. ********Update... one day later. 1 cashier. 4 people in line. 20 other customers in the store standing around looking for help. On every transaction the cashier needs help from a manager, but there is no manager. I needed two gallons of paint. I had written the brand, grade, sheen, and color codes on a piece of paper ahead of time. I was in the store for 45 minutes. That's just too long.
I live around the corner and go into this Ace Hardware store often. I am always greeted by someone who is ready to help me and answer all my questions.
Friendly helpful staff, always willing to order products that aren't on the shelf. Very customer friendly
Always have what I need and closer than hd
I was adviced incorrectly by one of their employees about a power drill. I was told it was a hammer drill when it was a normal drill with an additional handle (needed it to make holes in concrete and couldn't do it with my cordless). I opened the drill and realized what had happened, I went back to ask for a refund for an unused but open item explaining what had happened. I was declined any refunds. Given the drill is simply useless for me (as I already own a nicer cordless drill), I let them keep it for free. This is $70 down the drain for their inexperienced staff (specifically, the older employee that adviced me) and lack of customer service.
