If you live in the city and close to the el the blue line to O'Hare is a no brainer.
Good station, wide turnstiles. Super nice glass block wall in the subway station that has lights behind it.
Best way to get from downtown to O'Hare. Expect a 40-50 minute trip from downtown (possibly more if it's crowded). As for the station, it's conveniently connected to each terminal via a large corridor. Short walk (maybe 100 yards) to your terminal (possibly more to terminal 5).
Clean and organized but expensive
Unnecessarily rude station agents at the gate. I had two large bags hard to put through turnstiles so I went to the disabled gate. One staff member was standing against the ticket trader making it impossible to get through. So I maneuvered one bag through the turnstile, when the other staff member started to shout at me. “Sir! Put your ticket on the reader!” “I am putting my bags through the turnstile first and then will tap my ticket.” My ticket was already in my hand. “It doesn’t work like that. Tap your ticket!” she absconded. So I tapped my ticket then awkwardly had to push the other bag through as I turned the turnstile. What can I say. Welcome to Chicago?
