This process has improved dramatically since I got my passport here six years ago. You get processed about 10 minutes before your actual appointment (Make sure you get there at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment). They took my picture on the spot (no need to bring passport photos!), I could pay with a credit card (no more hauling around loads of cash). Overall, a great experience.
The wait is long.. i dont understand why they do not allow you to go in with someone and make them wait outside. They have plenty of room and a lot of empty chairs. The security officers need to learn how to respect and not give attitude when being asked a question.
I've taken a couple of classes here for business and the facility looks clean. There are metal detectors at the entrance for better security. Not sure about all the other services they have. They do have a sign that says only with appointments.
