Lively atmosphere, however it was WAY too crowded. No real "security" -just rude body guards constantly telling you to keep moving in a room that was already completely filled. Not worth the price for being pushed around, being told to move and not being able to actually dance at all. Music was mediocre.
Place has become the go to underage spot in river north. Cool astmosphere and good music but the staff is not polite. Brought my 16 year old brother with to see Martin Garrix and didn’t have any issue at the door. If you want a real club experience go somewhere else. This place acts like they’re the top club in Chicago and they are not even close. When there are drunk 16-19 year old guys and girls puking in the restrooms, that’s a sign of the place being shut down within the next year. Management needs to step it up and make it more exclusive or the cops are going to crack down on this spot.
I had trouble with this place from the moment I walked in. I visited Studio Paris on 9/9/2017 in a group of about 5 people, and despite being by far the oldest individual in the group (and the only male), I was the only one who was challenged on the authenticity of my ID. The bouncer asked me not once, but twice to state my address. Upon the second request, I offered to show the bouncer a Federally issued ID and was accused of giving "attitude". After my ID was finished being scrutinized, another bouncer made an inappropriate (and unwanted) sexual comment about one of the ladies in my party. I turned around to see who was saying it and confronted by the bouncer. "You got a problem buddy? You got a problem?" I ignored his belittlement and continued up the stairs. I understand the importance of insuring the authenticity of IDs, but I can't help to shake the idea that perhaps a bit of sexism took place, both against me (for simply being a male) and against the girls in my party who were gawked at.
Before I went to this club I saw a lot of poor rewievs. Actually I was surprised in positive way. Security was nice, bartenders were cool, good music. Very nice place. I had a good time in Studio Paris.
Once we were inside Studio Paris I was further appalled to discover that the club doesn't serve tap water to its guests. I'm not sure if this is illegal or not, but I do know it is a common courtesy to provide an option other than $8 bottled water (side note, the girls in my group were offered the SAME bottle of water for only $6).
Awesome club to go to, staff is really friendly and the bartenders are great as well. This place is like a maze with the tables being at every corner you turn, I didn’t mind since I had one. The music is great, a lot of famous DJs and celebs usually stop by! Very modern design to the club as well, 10/10, if you’re in the city, definitely check out studio.
All summary, Studio Paris is the type of place you go if you have an inflated image of self-worth. The facility itself was fine, but the attitude, unwanted sexual comments by employees, and refusal to provide free tap water is inexcusable.
