Nice cafe, friendly staff and good food. As a "traveller cafe" they could really do with having WiFi though, almost everywhere else I've been in Chicago does and it's pretty useful to us travellers.
I first went here in the very early days, and I'm glad it's still around. It's actually gotten better. There's a lot on the menu, and everything I've had so far has been good. They have the best soup; usually soup is salty and cheap-tasting, but their soup tastes natural and is served with delicious bread (I love bread). The atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly. I could become a regular if I keep going to the area (which is also worth the visit). They also have a lot of interesting items for sale from all over the world.
I always love this place. Great selection, nice ambiance, overhearing fellow worldly folks. I was only disappointed once. I ordered a hot chocolate with a shot of Kahlua. To my surprise, the cost of the shot was $6 not including the cost of my got chocolate. I paid $10 for what I assumed would be $6-8!
The House blend tea is AMAZING. I come here just to enjoy this tea. I love the atmosphere, and the service and the food! This is a great place to sit down with 1 or 2 friends just to catch up and relax. They also have a variety of baked goods. I tried the pear bundt and it didn't disappoint. My friend had the gluten free carrot cake, and it also was delish. This is a very chill spot where tea lovers can get their fix. Highly recommended
This place is awesome! The atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better. The service is also top notch. My service was just as good on a Sunday during brunch as it was when it was quiet and slow on a rainy Tuesday. The last time I went it was so busy and I was in a hurry. My server (Mark or Marc) was so accommodating and he had great recommendations about the food! Nothing but good things to say.
